About me

I’m an “all-terrain theatre artist” originally from Vancouver. I’ve worked across North America, and in Europe and South America, as an actor, composer, sound designer, writer/director/dramaturge and teacher. I’ve done well over a 100 productions, including projects at major companies such the National Arts Centre of Canada (Ottawa), the Arts Club (Vancouver), the Belfry (Victoria) as well as countless independent companies such as Rumble (Vancouver), Urban Ink (Vancouver), Theatre Tribe (Los Angeles), and White Pines (Philadelphia).

My creative research focuses on cultivating heightened states of presence in performers and audiences, through somatic awareness, sensory immersion, games, and the dynamic interplay between fiction and truth.

I’m a Certified Teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework®. I’ve led dozens of workshops around the world in this radical approach to voice training, and have taught several times in the Fitzmaurice Voicework Teacher Certification programs in New York and Los Angeles. I’m co-artistic director of Jump Current Performance.

I’m a tenured professor of Voice and Acting in Concordia University’s Theatre Department, and served as Department Chair from 2021 – 2024. I’m a founding member of the research cluster LePARC MILEUX, and I collaborate as well with Concordia’s Technoculture, Art & Games Lab (TAG).

I also work as a communication coach for individuals and organizations – more about that aspect of my work here.
